RE: Installation Error

Microsoft SQL Server

For installation issues, you also need to review the setup log file for
potential errors.

This file is not created by default. You should use the "/L*v
c:\msdesetup.log" parameter (without the double quotes) and explicitly ask
for the creation of a setup log.

Then you would be able to review this log file for "return value 3" which
indicates a fatal error that aborted the setup.
